Using 1 litre petrol a car runs 20km.

2 3/4 litre petrol = 11/4 litres

Using 11/4 litres petrol the car

Step-by-step explanation:

20 km ---------------> 1 litre

   x      ---------------> 1.25 litre

Now cross-multiply,

x = 1.25 x 20

x = 25

∴ It will cover 25 km in 1.25 litres of petrol.
