SOLUTION:


Distance covered by the car in 1 hour
= 13 km 500 m or 13,500 km
( because 1km-1000m)
Petrol consumed by the car in 6 km
= 1 litre
Therefore, petrol consumed by the car in 1 km = 1/6

1) Distance travelled in 8 hours
= ( 13500 x 8 ) km
= 108,000 km ( ANSWER )

2) Petrol consumed in 1 km
= 1/6 litre
Petrol consumed in 108,000 km
= (108,000 x 1/6) litre
= 18,000 litre ( ANSWER )
