Answer:

The inner edge is 440 metres, hence the circle has a circumference of 440 m

Thence 2 x 22/7 R = 440 metres

R = (440/44) x 7 = 70 metres

The area of the lawn = 22/7 x ((77)^2 - (70)^2)

= 22/7 (5929 - 4900)

= 22/7 x 1029

= 3234 sq m
