As per the above question, the compounds consist of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen in the ratio of 52.17:13.04:34.78 respectively. Now multiply the ratio with the molecular mass that is 46 g. Hence we obtain it as 2400:600:1600 that is 24:6:16 (2 atoms of carbon + 6 atom of hydrogen + 1 atom of oxygen). The required compound is C2H5OH.
