                                 =  5 - 2 = 3 cm

Capacity of cylinder  =  π r² h

                                  =   22 /7  x  3 x 3 x 8

Volume of metal used   =  volume of  hollow  cylinder  + area of circle

                                       =  π h (R + r )  ( R - r )     +  π R²

                                       =  22/7  x 8 x8 x 2       + 22/7  x 5 x 5

                                      =  402 .29   +  78.57
