Answer:

Given: A floor 3.0 m long and 2.0m wide is to be covered with square shaped tiles of length 10 cm.

To Find: Find the cost of flooring it, if the cost of tiles is rupees 150 per 100 tiles.

Solution:

Length of floor = 3 m

Breadth of floor = 2 m

Area of floor = length x breadth

Length of Side of square tiles = 10 cm = 0.1 m

Area of square tile =  side x side= 0.1x0.1= 0.01m^2

Number of tiles required =  6/0.01 =600

Cost of 100 tiles = Rs.150

Cost of 1 tile =  150/100

Cost of 600 tiles =  600x150/100

Hence The cost of flooring is Rs.900
