7. A force acts for 10 s on a stationary body of mass
100 kg after which the force ceases to act. The body
moves through a distance of 100 m in the next 5 s.
Calculate : (i) the velocity acquired by the body,
(ii) the acceleration produced by the force, and (iii)
the magnitude of the force.
Ans. (i) 20 m sl, (ii) 2 m s?, (iii) 200 N

Answer:

I)20 m/s

ii)2m/s^2

iii)200N

Explanation:

I)velocity = distance /time

distance=100m;time=5s(consider moving time)

velocity=100m/5s

=20m/s

ii) acceleration=velocity/time

=20/10

=2m/s^2

iii)force=mass*acceleration

=100*2

=200N
