Answer:

Answer is 88 sec

Explanation:

Given that the passenger train is 100 m long &

the goods train is 1 km long

=> If the passenger train to completely cross the stationary goods train it should travel 1100 m

i.e Distance to be traveled = length of goods train + length of passenger train.

=> Distance = 1100 m

It is also given that the train is moving in uniform velocity 45 kmph

to convert it into m/s multiply it with 5/18

=> velocity = 45 × 5/18

=> velocity = 12.5 m/s

Now, We know that

Time = Distance/Velocity

=> Time = 1100/12.5 = 88 sec

=> Time taken for the passenger train to completely cross the stationary goods train is 88 sec
