\huge\bold\red{HELLO!}

Let the point where it broke be B.

the base be C.

the fallen top be A.

ABC form right triangle where angle c is 90.

AC is 5m.

BC is 12 m.

by pythagoras theorem,

AB2 = BC2 + AC2

AB2 = 12square + 5square

AB2 = 144 + 25

AB2 = 169

Ab = 13

total height of pole before breaking = 12m + 13m

=25m

7)A POLE IS NOT BROKEN  DOWN INTO 2 PARTS.

WE KNOW THAT THE ROD IS NOT BROKEN DOWN BUT IS STILL ATTACHED.

SO THE PART STANDING PERPENDICULAR TO THE GROUND IS 12M.

WE HAVE TO FIND THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE POLE TO THE POINT OF WHICH BROKEN PART TOUCHES THE GROUND.

LETS US TAKE THE LENGTH OF THE BROKEN PART AS x

(!!!!!  IT IS NOT GIVEN IN THE QUESTION BUT WE HAVE TO TAKE THE  LONGEST DISTANCE BETWEEN THE 1ST PART AND SECOND PART IS 5 CM(WHICH MEANS THE DISTANCE OF THE ENDS OF THE POLES TOUCHING THE GROUND))

SO,BY PYTHAGORAS THEOREM,

x^2=12^2+5^2

=144+25

=169

x+13com

SO,THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE POLE IS 12+13=25 CM.
