Given:

Height of wall built around the plot= 1m

Length of rectangular plot= 73m

Breadth of rectangular plot= 52m

Cost of constructing the wall per meter= Rs. 125

To find:

Cost of constructing the wall around the plot.

Solution:

We can follow a simple process to find out the cost of constructing the wall.

We know that the perimeter of a rectangular plot = 2×(Length+ Breadth)

So, the perimeter of the plot = 2×(73+52)

= 2×125

=250m

Now, Area of the wall to be constructed= Perimeter of the plot× Height of the wall

= 250×1

=250m

So, now we will easily calculate the cost of constructing the wall.

Cost of construction= Area to be constructed×Cost per meter

= 250×125

= Rs. 31,250

Hence, Cost of constructing the wall around the plot= Rs. 31,250.
