Answer:

1.The green bins are used for collecting kitchen and other plant or animal wastes. This type of waste rots completely when buried in the soil. It includes wastes like plate scrapings, vegetable peelings, meat and bones, cooked and uncooked food, cut flowers, etc.

2.The method of making compost from kitchen garbage by using redworms is called vermicomposting.

3.Air is a mixture of nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapors, and some other gases. It also contains dust particles.

4.The scarcity of water in a region due to very less or no rainfall for a long time leads to drought in that region.

5.The major nutrients in our food are

Carbohydrates

Proteins

Fats

Vitamins

Minerals

6.The primary functions of the stem are to support the leaves; to conduct water and minerals to the leaves, where they can be converted into usable products by photosynthesis; and to transport these products from the leaves to other parts of the plant, including the roots.
