7) Apoorv throws two dice once and computes the product of the numbers appearing on the dice. Peehu throws one die and squares the number that appears on it. Who has the better chance of getting the number 36? Why?

The root of the number 36 is 6.

So peehu needs to get 6 on her die

While Apoorv needs to get 6 on both of his diee.

The probability of getting a 6 on a die is 1/6.

And the probability of getting two 6s in a row is:

(1/6)*(1/6)

=1/36

The probability of getting 6 once is greater than getting 6 twice:

1/6>1/36

Hence peehu has greater chance of getting 36.
