speed of 60 kmph and reached his destination. If the entire distance covered was 150 km in a
duration of 3 hrs, then how much distance did he travel by train?

Let distance traveled by bus be X miles

Total distance =100 miles

We know that, Speed=

100−X+ 40

X=3⇒ 1200

4000−40X+30X

=3⇒4000−10X=3600

X= 400÷10

=40 miles

Hence, distance traveled by bus=40 miles
