= 7 Km

Therefore, the total distance travelled by David is 7 Km.

Now, for calculating the displacement we take to consider the shortest distance travelled by David.

So, by using the Pythagoras theorem we can find the value of X.

3² + 4² = X²

9 + 16 = X²

25 = X²

X = 5
