Here, we have to find that on putting the values of x and y in the equation 2x+y= 3 do we get the value same on both L.H.S and R.H.S. if we get,

it means that it is the solution of the equation but if not..then it ain't the solution to the equation..

2x+y= 3

now putting values, x=2 and y= -1

2(2)+(-1)= 3

4-1= 3

3= 3

hence... it is verified that it is the solution to the equation ..
