Democracy often leads to corruption and malpractices.

Explanation:

  • Democracy leads to majority opinion sometimes. Political leaders and govt authorities control the people & political representatives. It does not encourage people to express their views. Corruption and fraud are impossible to avoid. Democracy is mostly about competition & balancing power. Morality is not available. For democracy is based on election competition, it leads to corruption.
  • For example, electoral malpractices - from covert propaganda campaigns through to corruption, bribery, & overt physical intimidation– threaten worldwide democratic contests. The validity of political players, procedures or outcomes is challenged by controversial elections. This kind of fight will disrupt the transitions of democracy.
  • Democracies generally also thrive in affluent societies, while in poorer societies they continue to be more susceptible & unstable. The main targets in election campaigns are disadvantaged voters, who will make a difference of election activity by minimal monetary rewards, such as small food gifts or clothes. Therefore, buying of votes & coercion"  in low-income developed societies are likely to be more common.
