The arrangement of electrons according to the energy levels of shells is known as electronic configuration

While filling electrons in the shells we follow three rules

PAULIs EXCLUSION PRINCIPLE:

Paulis exclusion principle states that no two electrons in the same orbital have all the four quantum numbers same

AUFBAUS PRINCIPLE:

Aufbaus principle deals with the entering of electron into the orbital of lower energy

it must be done according to increasing order of (n+l ) value

if that value is same we should consider lower n value

HUNDS RULE:

Hunds rule states that pairing of electrons is done only after filling all the degenerate orbitals with one each.
