of side/ 1 unit will be needed if the length of the room is 25 units and the
breadth is 18 units.
8. What will be the measure of the side of a square if its area is :

Side =6cm.

8B) Side=  area

​Hence Side=  144

Side= 12cm

Since side of a square can never be negative so, Side=12cm

8c) The formula for the area of a square = (s^2) or (side x side)

Let that side be equal to x.

Then x * x = 64 cm^2

x = under root of 64 cm^2

x = + 8 or - 8

But since a side length could not possible be a negative number, therefore the value for the length of one side of square is 8 cm.

8d) Area of rectangle = l*b

Area of rectangle = 9*16

Area of rectangle = 144

Let the side of square “ a"

Area of square = a*a

a*a = 144

a = 12 cm
