Answer:

(i)15%

(ii) 10%

In the 1st question Given:

M.P of a notebook is ₹60.

S.P of the notebook is ₹51.

To find:

Discount price.

Solution:

discount = m.p - s.p

=> ₹60-₹51 = ₹9

discount\% =  \frac{discount}{m.p}  \times 100

 \frac{9}{60}  \times 100 =  15\%

=> 15% discount.

In the 2nd question Given:

M.P of a shirt = ₹400

S.P of the shirt = ₹360

To find:

Discount %.

Solution:

Discount = ₹(400-360)

=> ₹40

Discount% = 40/400 × 100 = 10%
