Solution :

First we need to find radius

Given Diameter = 7m

  • Radius = D/2 = 7/2 = 3.5cm

And also Given,

  • Height = 20cm

As we know that,

  • Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

Where, r is radius (3.5cm) and h is height (20cm)

》Surface area of cylinder = 2πrh

》2 × 22/7 × 3.5 × 20

》440 cm²

And also Given that ,

cost of painting is 5 per m²

》440 × 5

》 2200

Hence 2200 is the cost of painting
