Distance from x axis is called absicca.

And absicca of the given coordinate is -4.

Hence distance from the x axis is -4 units.

Given

We have given Points A(-3,-4)

To find

Distance of point A from the x -axis

We have given point A (-3,-4) and we have to find the distance from the x-axis.

Note :On x-axis the y will be zero and on Y-axis x will be zero.

The distance of point from x -axis is called its x coordinate.

Here ,A(-3,-4)

-4 will be the distance of the point from its x-axis.

since , distance can't be negative

So , distance of the point A(-3,-4) from the x-axis will be |-4| = 4 units
