a)

We know, the general equation of the line is

y = mx + c

where,

m = slope of the line

c = y-intercept

y = 2x + 2

b)

We know that slope of any line is the tangent of the angle it makes with the x-axis.

Thus,

m = tan45° = 1

and c = 1

Thus, equation of the line is

y = x + 1
