Step-by-step explanation:

Ascending order of the given data 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13

Mean of the data:

Sum of observations /No. of observations = 142/17 = 8.35 (approximately)

Median of the data:

(No. of observations+1)/2 = (17+1)/2 = 9

Mode of the data:

It is clear from the data that mode is 8

SOLUTIONS

Mean

= Sum of all Observation / Number of Observation

= 4+5+6+7+7+8+9+13+12+8+8+9+8+10+11 / 15

= 125 / 15

= 8.3

Median

= To arrange data in ascending order

= 4, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 8, 9, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13

Median= [(n + 1) / 2]th

where, n = number of odd observations

Median = 15 + 1 / 2

= 16 / 2

= 8th term

= 8

Mode

= The only number which appears multiple times

= 8

8 is the no. which occurs several times
