Step-by-step explanation:

First equation : 3x - 6y = 12

=> x = (12 + 6y) / 3

=> x = 6(2 + y) / 3

=> x = 2(2 + y) ...________( i )

Substituting the value of x in the second equation :

5 (2) (2+y) - 2y = 4

=> 10(2+y) - 2y = 4

=> 20 + 10y - 2y = 4

=> 8y = 4 - 20

=> y = -16/8

=> y = -2

=> -y = 2

Substituting the value of y in the equation ( i )

=> x = 2 [ 2 + (-2)]

=> x = 2 ( 2 - 2 )

=> x = 2(0)

=> x = 0

The value of x. - y is (0, 2)
