i. 35°

ii. 100°

Step-by-step explanation:

i.

Complementary angle = 90°

=> (x + 10) + ( x - 30) = 90°

=> x + 10 + x - 30 = 90°

=> 2x - 20 = 90°

=> 2x = 90 - 20

=> 2x = 70

=> x = 70/ 2

=> x = 35 °

ii.

Supplementary angle = 180°

=> (x + 10 ) + ( x - 30 ) = 180°

=> x + 10 + x - 30 = 180°

=> 2x - 20 = 180°

=> 2x = 180° + 20°

=> 2x = 200°

=> x = 200/2

=> x = 100

Complementary angles sum =90
Given angles sum. =x+10+x-30
=2x-20
i) If given angles are complementary then
2x-20=90
2x=110
X=55
The two angles = 65,25

I) if angles are supplementary then
Angles sum. = 180

2x-20=180
2x=200
X=100
The supplementary angles =110, 70
