Answer:

area of the square sheet = side²

=(28)²

= 784cm²

largest possible diameter=28 cm

therefore, largest possible diameter= 28/2

=14cm

area of circular sheet=πr²

=22/7×14×14

=22×2×14

= 44×14

= 616cm²

area of remaining sheet = 784-616

=168cm²

Given -

  • Side of square sheet = 28cm

To find -

  • Radius of circular sheet and the remaining sheet.

Solution -

Let's find the area of square sheet -

Area of square = Side × Side

Area of square = 28 × 28cm

\longmapsto Area of square = 784cm

Now,

For finding the radius of the circular sheet we will divide the side of square sheet by 2.

\cancel\dfrac{28}{2}

\longmapsto Radius = 14cm

Now,

For finding the remaining area of the sheet -

Area of square sheet - πr²

784 - \sf\dfrac{22}{7} × (14)²

784 - \sf\dfrac{22}{7} × 196

784 - 22 × 28

784 - 616

\longmapsto 168cm

\therefore Radius of circular sheet is 14cm and area of remaining sheet is 168cm
