1. Gardeners add lime to soil as it helps to increase the ph of the acidic soil and it helps to give the healthier base of plants.
2. When bitten by ant ,sodium bicarbonate solution is applied because it is a base and helps to neutralise the formic acid produced by ants.
3. As eating something sweet we should brush because it by doing brush we can reduce the bacteria as it attacks the tooth enamel.
4. Copper reacts with air to form copper oxide ( basic oxide) and lemon contains citric acid which helps u to neutralise the copper vessels.
5. Acids are never stored in metal because metals like iron and copper react with acid and metals are not stored in plastic because as it is slippery ,so it makes the acid non reactive.
6. A turmeric stain turns red when soap solution is applied because turmeric is of yellow colour and it is acid and when we apply excess of soap solution is applied it reacts to make basic solution which red in colour.
