(a) (i) Metals are elements that are malleable , ductile and conduct electricity.

Example : Aluminium and zinc

(ii) Non-metals are elements that are neither malleable nor ductile and they do not conduct electricity.

but most of the non-metals are brittle

Examples : Phosphorus and hydrogen

(iii) Metalloids are the elements that shows properties of both metals and non-metals.

Examples : Germanium and silicon.
