f(x)= 4x square - 8kx -9

Let the 2 zeroes be p and q

So, q = -p

p+q= -b/a (Sum of zeroes)

p+(-p)= -(-8k)/4

p-p= 8k/4

0×4=8k

0/8=k

0=k

Let α and β be the zeros of the polynomial 4x²-8kx-9

It is given that α=-β

Then, α+β=0

-b/a=0

-(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x²=0

8k/4=0

2k=0

k=0
