In A ABC, ZB = 90°, BC = 8 cm and

AC = 17 cm. BE is a median of the triangle

and M is the midpoint of BE. Find the area

of BMC

 \sf \bf \huge {\boxed {\mathbb {ANSWER}}}

∴BM=5 cm

 \sf \bf {\boxed {\mathbb {GIVEN}}}

Given: △ABC, ∠B=90∘ and BM is median AC

 \sf \bf {\boxed {\mathbb {SOLUTION}}}

By Apollonius Theorem,

AB2+BC2=2(BM2+MC2)

82+62=2(BM2+52)

64+36=2(BM2+25)

50=BM2+25

BM2=25

∴BM=5 cm
