Answers
(i) Mohan get 4 correct answer = 4×5 =20
He gets 6 incorrect answer = -126×(−2 )= −12
Total score = 20−12 = 8
Thus, mohan get 8 marks in the class test.
(ii) For 5 correct answer = 255×5 = 25
For 5 incorrect answer = -105×(−2)= −10
Total score = 25−10 = 15
(iii) Heena get 2 correct answer = 105×2= 10
Heena get 5 incorrect = -105×(−2) = −10
Total score = 10 −10 = 0
Thus, total score of heena is zero.
As per the given information, we have
The profit earned by a cement company by selling white cement = Rs.8 per bag.
The number of bags of white cement sold is equal to 3000 bags.
The total profit earned by selling the given number of bags
= 3000 × 8 = 24000 rupees
The loss by a cement company by selling grey cement = Rs.5 per bag.
The number of bags of white cement sold is equal to 5000 bags.
Therefore, the total loss by selling the given number of bags is,
5000 × 5000 = 25000 rupees
Total loss is greater than total profit earned.
Thus, loss occurs.
25,000 > 24,000
The total loss of the cement company = Total loss by selling the given number of bags - Total profit earned by selling the given number of bags.
Substiting the corresponding values we get
Total loss = 25,000 - 24,000 = 1000
Thus the total loss of cement company is equal to Rs.1000.
