Given : circles are concentric with centre O
To Find : AC
Solution:
Perpendicular from center on chord bisect the chord
Let say M is mid point of chord AB and CD
AM² = AO² - OM²
=> AM² = 17² - 9² AO = OB = Radius = 17 cm
=> AM = 4√13
=> AM = 14.42 cm
CM² = CO² - OM²
=> CM² = 10² - 9²
=> CM = √19
=> CM = 4.36 cm
AC = AM - CM
=> AC = 14.42 - 4.36
= 10.06 cm
Length of AC = 10.06 cm
