Step-by-step explanation:

angle pqr = angle prq

so, for understanding, in place of angle prq, we can put angle pqr ( since both are equal)

angle pqs = 180 - angle pqr ( adjacent angles are supplementary)

angle prt = 180 - angle prq ( adjacent angles are supplementary) —> but here we can put angle pqr in place of prq as both are equal

so, angle pqs = 180— angle pqr

angle prt = 180 — angle pqr

hence, angle pqs = angle prt

hope it helps you...

Question :-

In figure, ∠PQR = ∠PRQ, then prove that ∠PQS = ∠PRT.

Answer :-

ST is a straight line.

∴ ∠PQR + ∠PQS = 180° …(1) [Linear pair]

Similarly, ∠PRT + ∠PRQ = 180° …(2) [Linear Pair]

From (1) and (2), we have

∠PQS + ∠PQR = ∠PRT + ∠PRQ

But ∠PQR = ∠PRQ [Given]

∴ ∠PQS = ∠PRT
