Question 7) In the following figure, FD and AE are parallel to each other and ∠ABC = 49° . Then ∠ABC + ∠DCB is equal to ?

Solution :-

Given that, FD || AE,

Therefore,

→ ∠ABC = ∠DCB . { Alternate interior Angle. }

So,

∠ABC + ∠DCB = 49° + 49° = 98° . (Ans.)

Question 8) The radius of a circular box is 10 cm. What should be the length of the tape required to wrap once around the pipe ?

Solution :-

→ Length of the tape required to wrap once around the pipe = Circumference of circle.

Given that,

→ Radius of circular box = 10cm.

So,

Circumference of circular box = 2 * π * radius = 2 * 3.14 * 10 = 62.8cm.

Hence, length of the tape required to wrap once around the pipe is 62.8cm.
