The different types of ways used by them to increase productivity are:

(i) using HYV seeds for higher and rich quality yield.

(ii) multiple cropping. Ex: growing leguminious plants after rice wheat etc.

(iii) mixed cropping.ex: growing potato and any one other crop at the same time on the same field.

(iv) modern farming. Ex: using pumpsets etc. for irrigation.
