Answer:

A) South- West monsoons

Explanation:

The South-West monsoon causes over 80 per cent of the downfall over the country from June to September. The southwest thunderstorm originates from the Indian ocean. The moisture-laden winds  which when on reaching the southernmost point of the Indian Peninsula, due to its topography, become divided into two parts: the Arabian Sea Branch and the Bay of Bengal Branch.

The utmost corridor of India gets downfall from Southwest Showers with the exception of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil Nadu lies on the leeward side of the southwest monsoon winds and receives lower rainfall. Once the thunderstorm starts retreating after mid-September, the Northeast monsoon sets in during mid-October. Tamil Nadu lies on the upwind side of these winds and hence gets further rainfall during the winter season.
