Let the number be x......
5x + 7 = 37
5x = 37 - 7
5x = 30
Hence five times the number is 30.......
and when 7 is subtracted from 30
30 - 7 = 23......
Hope this is the expected answer.......

Answer:

Concept:

The linear equation in one variable is an equation which is expressed in the form of ax+b = 0, where a and b are two integers, and x is a variable and has only one solution

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number be x

7 is added to 5 times a number giving 37

                7+5 x=37

                5 x=37-7

                 x= 6

a) how much is 5 times of that number

                = 6 × 5

                = 30

b) lf 7 is subtracted from 5 times of a number what is the answer

                 = 30 - 7

                 = 23
