The only reason I feel this doesn't happen is the concentration of carbon dioxide being 0.1% and the concentration of nitrogen and oxygen being much higher. But this doesn't seem to be the answer to this question. I tried to 'google' it but couldn't find anything substantial or satisfactory there. It would be great if someone could help.
