Parental expectations about the responsible behaviour of their children is right.
Parents expect their children to become more responsible and independent, which is obviously the right thing to do. Growing towards maturity doesn't include just the hormonal changes in our body, but also the ability to respond to different problems, take up responsibilities and other duties. As we grow into an adult, we face a lot of hardships, be it job, getting settled, buying a settlement and things like that. If we start becoming independent at a young age, we'll become the bearers of a fruitful future. So, parents' expectations regarding us to be responsible, is obviously not something to get offended about.
