As the present earth's diameter is 12,742 kms and its radius is 6,371 kms.

As with this radius of earth it takes 24 hrs in a single rotation in it's axis which causes day and night of each 12 hrs.

If The earth's radius is half in it's now present, than the duration of day will be shortened about = 24÷ 2 = 12 hrs in it's single rotation.
