7 Men and 3 Women together can finish a piece of work in 10 days, while 8 men and 2 women together can finish the same piece of work in 8 days. How much percentage of work will be completed by 12 men in a day?

thus 1 day work by them will be 1/10 part

⇒    7m + 3w = 1/10

similarly 8 men and 2 women together can finish work in 8 days

thus  1 day work by them will be 1/8 part

⇒   8m + 2w = 1/8

now solving above two equations for m

multiply first by 2 and second by 3 we get

   14m + 6w = 2/10

   24m + 6w = 3/8

 10m = 3/8 - 2/10

⇒  m = 7/400  

thus one day work of one men = 7/400 part

thus 12 men can work in one day = 84/400 part

now the percentage of work in one day will be = (84/400)*100  = 21%  Ans.
