Answer: the 2 types of mirrors are:- (i) concave mirror (ii) convex mirror
Convex mirrors have very wide field of view as they are curved outwards. So, the convex mirrors enable the driver to view much larger area than a plane mirror. The images produced are erect and their size is much smaller than the object.

(1) Convex mirror is used as rear view mirrors
Reasons :
(a) It forms an erect image of an object, hence objects become easily identified
(b) It forms a diminished image of object-thus increases the field of vision.
(2) Concave mirror are used as shaving mirrors
Reason : When the face is held with in the focus of a concave mirror, then an enlarged image of the face is seen in the concave mirror. This helps in making a smooth shave
