Respected Sir,
Through the columns of your daily newspaper I would like to highlight the issue of river water pollution, which has gone to extreme levels
Rivers are prennial source of life, they sustain our economy and livelihood, but we have seen cities and towns dumping waste in river bodies.
The industrial effluents are directly thrown into the rivers. The condition of rivers like Yamuna, Ganga and their tributaries is highly sadistic.
The most cause of concern is amount of microplastic disposed to our rivers which is affecting the rivers health and it's organisms.
Every year millions of rupees, with crores of budget and projects are launched. Various Central Scheme is in deplorable condition.
There is no fruitful results we are getting.
Therefore, I would request you to please highlight this grave situation in your columns.
We need mass awareness and we need to pressurise our Govt to take strict actions.
Rivers are our source of life, we are reeling with all the time we had.
