Total number of people = 1200
Now,
Out of all the number of people who only knows English = 800
Out of all the number of people who only knows Punjabi = 50
And
The rest know both English and Punjabi
= 1200 - (800 + 50)
= 1200 - 850
= 350
So,
Out of all the number of people who knows both English and Punjabi = 350
To be found :-
(a) the percentage of people knowing only English
(b) the percentage of people knowing both English and Punjabi
