Given :
Pipes A and B can fill a tank in 15 hours and 20 hours respectively.


Tank filled by A in one hour = 1/15

Tank filled by B in one hour = 1/20


Tank filled by (A + B) in one hour = 1/15 + 1/20
= (4 + 3)/60
= 7/60


Hence,
Both together can fill it in 8¼ hours or in 8 hours 15 minutes.
