7)
a) 800 m (200 m* 4 rounds of track)
b) displacement = 0 m (description below)
c) No, displacement and distance covered by the athelete are not same. as distance is the total length travelled where as displacement is the perpendicular distance between two poi ts

★Hey , Well we r short on points here but I will help , the answers are as follows :

★Ans 4. Here , the Distance = 2h
Displacement = 0

★Ans 5. Here , the distance = 15+20=35m
And , the displacement = 25
( the displacement will be equal to the
square root of 15²+20² as the diagram
will make a right triangle)

★Ans 6. Distance = 3×circumference
3×2πr
6πr
6×(22\7)×5\2
(6×22×5)\14
330\7
47.1 m
, And , as the particle is coming back to
the exact place where it started .
Displacement = 0

★Ans 7. (1) Here , Length of track = 200 m
And , as the athlete's had to cover 4
rounds , the distance = 4×200m
800 m
(2) Now , Displacement = 0
As , it is told to us in the starting that
the final and the initial point is same .
(3) No , u will understand if u understand
the first and second answer.

★Ans 8. Easy one , See draw the diagram ,
3 quarters mean 1 semicircle + 1 half of a
semi circle m
on drawing the diagram , the difference
b\w the final and the initial point will be
equal to the radius.
So , magnitude of displacement = r
