Answer:

First gift box(Box A),

Length(L) = 12 cm

Breadth(B) = 7 cm

Height(H) = 4 cm

By Formula,

Volume = L×B×H

= 12×7×4 cu. cm

= 316 cu. cm

Second gift box(Box B) ,

Length(L) = 10 cm

Breadth(B) = 8 cm

Height(H) = 6 cm

By Formula,

Volume = L×B×H

= 10×8×6 cu. cm

= 480 cu. cm

Answer:- The store choose the second gift box i.e, Box B whose dimension is (10×8×6) cm because it has the greater volume.
