Let square root of 7–4.(3)^1/2 is +/-(x^1/2 -y^1/2).

[+/-(x^1/2-y^1/2)]^2=7 -4 .3^1/2

x+y-2.x^1/2.y^1/2= 7 -4.3^1/2

Equating the both sides.

x + y = 7…………(1)

x^1/2.y^1/2 = 2.3^1/2

or x.y = 12…………..(2)

On solving eq.(1) & (2)

x= 4 or 3

y = 3 or 4.

Therefore square root of 7–4.3^1/2 is:-

+/-(2–3^1/2) Answer
