(3+√5)2×1/2 ...... ( multiplying rational number from rational number is rational )

step 2.

3+√5 -3 ..... ( Subtracting rational number from rational number is rational )

now,

and √5 is irrational therefore our assumption was wrong

hence (3+√5)2 is irrational
