Sixcubes each of 12 cm edge are joined end to end. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid.

 \sf \underline \red{answer}

 \sf{so}

 \sf{length = 6cube = 6 \times 12 = 72cm}

 \sf{breadth = height = 12cm}

 \sf{the \: surface \: area \: of \: the \: cuboid}

 \sf{ = 2(lb + bh + lh) {cm}^{2}}

 \sf{ = ([72)(12) + (12)(12) + (72)(12)]}

 \sf{ = 2 \times 1872}

 \sf{ = 3744 {cm}^{2}}

Given :- Six cubes each with 12 cm edge are joint end to end. Find the surface area of the resulting cuboid ?

Solution :-

given that,

→ Edge of each cube is = 12 cm.

when 6 cubes of same edge 12 cm are joined end to end ,

they formed a cuboid .

so,

Length of cuboid = sum of Edge of each cube = 6 * 12 = 72 cm. .

Breadth of cuboid = Edge of cube = 12 cm.

Height of cuboid = Edge of cube = 12 cm .

then,

→ The total surface area area of resulting cuboid = 2(L*B + BH * HL) = 2(72 * 12 + 12 * 12 + 12 * 72) = 2(864 + 144 + 864) = 2 * 1872 = 3744 cm².

Hence, the surface area of the resulting cuboid will be 3744 cm² .
